FoodTV Network’s South Beach Wine and Food Festival rolls around February 19-22, 2015, and is a celebrity chef juggernaut bringing all the familiar faces from popular cooking shows to South Beach for round the clock parties, culinary demonstrations and cookbook autographing events. Whether you love to cook or simply like to watch other people slicing, dicing and grilling their way through the day on television, the events surrounding this Food & Wine Magazine sponsored weekend are lots of fun. Tickets for the event and reservations for chef dinners at restaurants all over town sell out well in advance so visit the event website, survey the choices and secure your spot in early October.
Currently in its 13th year on the sands of South Beach, the SBWFF is a star-studded, four day love fest for the characters who teach you how to prepare 30 Minute Meals, add a little BAM! to your dishes and take you on a road trip to some pretty tasty Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Rachael, Emeril, Guy and Bobby mix it up with some of Miami’s top toques and spend their days meeting and mingling with fans who pay hundreds of dollars to join in champagne BBQs, haute Burger Bashes and luxe midnight suppers. Paula Deen, Anthony Bourdain, Eric Ripert and the new faces from Food Network Star attract over 55,000 guests to South Beach each year setting new records in festival attendance.
To date, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival has raised over $17 million to support the Florida International University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management including expanding teaching facilities and endowing scholarships for students. In addition to monetary support, culinary students are invited to work side by side with the super star chefs as they ready for their presentations at the fest. To learn about new offers, the latest dinner parties and who will be making a splash at the next festival before tickets go on sale, follow the event on FaceBook and Twitter and sign up for the Juicy Tidbits newsletter.
